G7 Summit marks first in-person diplomatic trip for the president.
On Thursday, the White House announced that the president and first lady would be traveling to the United Kingdom to attend the Group of Seven leaders summit next week. During their visit, they accepted an invitation by Queen Elizabeth II to meet at Windsor Castle. Queen Elizabeth has formally met 12 serving U.S. presidents during her reign.
The White House also said that President Biden is expected to meet personally with Prime Minister Boris Johnson on June 10 in order “to affirm the enduring strength of the special relationship between the United States and the United Kingdom.” The upcoming trip to the U.K is President Biden’s first in-person foreign diplomatic trip.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- That President Biden would seek God’s direction as he meets with Queen Elizabeth and British officials.
- For the Lord to keep the Bidens safe during their travels.
- For the work taking place at the G7 summit to accomplish God’s purposes for the world.
